It’s time to register your special pup!! Head over to https://saltydogday.com/candidate-signup. The registration fee is $25 and there are some updated requirements this year.

Salty Dog Day and the announcement of the winner will take place on February 17, 2024, at Oaks by the Bay during The Market at St. Andrews.

Dogs MUST BE:

– At least 6 months old
– Fully vaccinated, including Bordetella
– People, child, and dog-friendly (Should be able to be comfortable around other dogs, people, children coming up to them and asking for love)
– Spayed/neutered (In alliance with our partnering organization Operation Spay Bay)
– Humans must be able to provide a current copy of vet records

Here’s how it works:

– Once you submit your Application Fee, Campaign Photo and Vet Records, your application will be reviewed and, if you meet all the criteria, your dog will be posted as a candidate within 48 hours.
– Once posted, voting begins!
– Each vote is $1 and can be submitted here: https://saltydogday.com/vote

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but should you win, there are some events you should agree to participate in throughout 2024/2025. There are many other opportunities to make appearances but these were determined by our committee to be the most important to the Historic St Andrews Waterfront Partnership:

– March – St Patrick’s Day Non-Parade Parade
– May – Burning of the Socks
– October – Halloween Festival at the Market at St Andrew’s
– December – Christmas Tree Lighting at Oaks by the Bay
– February 2025 – Mardi Gras Pet Parade
– February 2025 – 2025 Salty Dog Day
